Word of the Week Each week we focus on an important and positive character trait. We call these our Words of the Week. We announce these words each morning on our public address system. Students are expected to add these to their weekly spelling list and use them to respond to their teacher when their teacher calls attendance. Also, a 10 to 15 minute discussion is held each week in each homeroom about each word. In this discussion, students are asked to share with the class what the word means to them and how they can demonstrate it both at school and at home. Each week classes contribute to the school Word of the Week bulletin board in the office. This bulletin board lists classroom contributions of what the word "looks Like" and "Sounds Like." Parents are asked to review these words each week at home. Our Words of the Week will help parents in their efforts to build strong positive character traits in their children. Focus Words
